Las Dalias hippy market

Stroll through the stands and grapevines at one of the most beautiful hippie markets of Ibiza: Las Dalias. The market was started in 1954 by Juanito, who came up with the idea to mimic the hippie markets of Es Canar. And a good idea, it was, because this hippie market currently sees some 20,000 visitors a day during peak season. The market, located in San Carles, has over 200 stands and additionally acts as a concert venue and site location for other events. It is the most important meeting venue for this section of the island. In addition to authentic products, Las Dalias also offers many bulk products. The selection of products is huge: jewellery items, exotic music instruments, colourful handbags, artwork, tapestry, hammocks, figurines... you'll find it all here at this historic hippie market. There's a great chance you'll find something to suit your tastes. At the centre of the grounds, there is a pub where you can take a break from strolling around and grab a refreshing drink to cool off as well as a bite to eat. It is highly recommended to spend (part of) the day tickling your fancy at Las Dalias and get a glimpse of the cosy atmosphere and check out the nice little stands. The market is open every Saturday from 10am to 8pm between May 1st and October 31st. On Monday evening, there is a night market from 7pm till 1 in the morning. We advise that you hit up Las Dalias early in the morning on Saturday or sometime in the early evening since it can get rather crowded during the afternoons. Entry is free, and there are three areas where you can park (paid and unpaid). Just as well, the market can be easily reached by bus.
