Relive the 60s and 70s at the largest hippie markets of Ibiza: Punta Arabi! This market is held every Wednesday from 10am to 7pm in Es Canar during peak season. This is also the first hippie market of the island and was started in 1973 by Ibizan artists and hippies. On average, 13,000 people travel each week to this colourful market from all ends of the island. Given the 400-500 stands that you'll find there, you won't find yourself running out of things to see. Get down with the live music, living statues and warm snacks. You'll feel like a kid in a candy store among all the beautiful jewellery items, artwork, handmade leather crafts and colourful clothing. Apart from the genuinely authentic Ibizan products, there are also many "Made in..." products available. Not to mention, it isn't the most beautiful hippie market of the island, and there is slightly less ambiance than the Las Dalias hippie markets, but it is certainly a recommended place to check out sometime. The market is can be easily reached by bus, and entry is free. Paid parking is available as well.
